Hummus with Sardine Chips TRATA on ice
    Ingredients
  • 1 400 gr package of TRATA on Ice sardines fillets
  • 200 gr all-purpose flour
  • 10 gr fine salt
  • 200 gr boiled chick peas
  • 50 gr Tahini sauce made with whole seeds
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation Time:30 minutes

Hummus is a first-rate appetizer. These crunchy sardines are a perfect accompaniment.

Let the sardines thaw to room temperature. Preheat the oven to 160° C. Mix the flour and salt and dip the sardines in them. Spread a baking sheet on a baking tray and spread out the sardines so they don't touch each other. Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown and crunchy. Prepare the hummus in a blender. Mix the Tahini sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice until a cream forms. Add the garlic and chick peas gradually. Mix until a firm cream forms. We can add Tahini sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, or a little cold water depending on our tastes. Serve the hummus with the sardine fillets on the side and seasonal vegetables.
