Crunchy Pies with TRATA Smoked Tuna, by Eleni Psyhouli
    Ingredients
  • 2 cans of TRATA smoked tuna, drained
  • 6 sheets of phyllo pastry
  • 5 fresh green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ bunch of parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
PREPARATION
Preparation Time:20 minutes

In a bowl, mix together the tuna, parsley, onions, salt, and lots of pepper. Spread the phyllo pastry sheets out on the countertop, all together, and cut through them twice so that they form three strips. Take the strips in pairs and fill them with a tablespoonful of filling. Wrap up by forming small triangular pies. Spread a little water on the end and close each individual pie. Warm plenty of vegetable oil and put the pies in the frying pan well spread out from each other. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain by placing on paper towels. Tip: If you want to bake them, place them on a baking sheet overlaid with non-stick paper, brush with olive oil, and bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven until golden brown.
