Pastitsio with TRATA Smoked Tuna, by Eleni Psyhouli
    Ingredients
  • 2 cans of TRATA SMOKED TUNA, drained
  • 1 packet of pasta for pastitsio
  • 5 fresh green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ bunch of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • For the béchamel sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons of cow butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 100 gr of flour
  • ½ liter of vegetable broth
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • A pinch of salt
  • Pepper
  • A small amount of grated breadcrumbs and grated yellow cheese for the crust
PREPARATION
Preparation Time:25 minutes

Boil the pasta until al dente. Prepare the béchamel sauce: warm the butter with the oil and mix well with the flour, at a very low heat until the sauce thickens. Add the lemon juice, pepper, and a minimal amount of salt. Put the pasta, olive oil, the TRATA SMOKED TUNA, the green onions, the lemon zest, the parsley, and 2-3 tablespoons of béchamel sauce in a glass baking dish and mix well. Spread the rest of the béchamel sauce on top, sprinkle with the breadcrumbs and grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
