Baked Sardines Trata on Ice with Roe Sauce
    Ingredients
  • 1 package of Trata on Ice sardine fillets 400gr
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 40 gr of white fish roe
  • 30 ml water
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 300 gr of cauliflower
  • 2 finely chopped green onions
  • 100 gr finely chopped parsley
  • Rocket leaves
PREPARATION
Preparation Time:30 minutes

Allow the sardines to reach room temperature. Dry them using paper towels. Preheat the oven to 180º C. Mix the olive oil and the juice from the lemons together. Spread the sardines out in an oven tray so they do not touch each other and sprinkle them with the lemon and oil mixture. Bake for about 15 minutes. While the sardines are cooking, prepare the fish roe sauce. Puree the fish roe with the lemon juice in the blender, add olive oil, lemon juice and the water, and mix until a sauce with a creamy texture forms. Chop the cauliflower, green onions, and parsley. In a large bowl, mix the vegetables and the fish roe sauce together. Serve the sardines with the salad and rocket leaves. Tips&Tricks: You can cut the cauliflower into small pieces and mix them in the blender until the cauliflower resembles grains of rice. This dish can also be combined well with rice, couscous, and pasta.
